Attend monthly meetings with the Friends and join the Friends of the Oakley Library organization. Have regular contact with the President and Board to introduce ideas and share information about the progress of the fundraising.
Descripción
Description of role: The Friends of the Oakley Library organization is looking for someone to coordinate fundraising opportunities to support ongoing library programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- researching fundraising opportunities (grants, business and individual sponsorship),
- conducting email and phone outreach to potential funders,
- brainstorming new channels for funding,
- working with The Friends Marketing/PR group on event planning, and
- identifying and executing crowd-sourcing campaigns
Skills/Qualifications needed:
- excellent research and writing skills,
- willingness to request funds from local community members, businesses and organizations, and
- enthusiasm for libraries and specifically for the Oakley Library.
Desired Experience: Writing experience; ability to work with a variety of people and organizations.
Responsible to: President of the Friends of the Oakley Library
Works with: President and Board of the Friends of the Oakley Library and potential individual and
corporate sponsors.
