At Queens Community House, we are excited to announce the launch of the Immigrant Resource Program, funded and supported by Office for New Americans (ONA) aimed at providing essential support and resources to immigrant communities in our area. We believe that every individual deserves access to information and services that can help them thrive in their new environment.
That's why we're reaching out to you today. We are looking for dedicated volunteers who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of immigrants and refugees. As a volunteer with our Immigrant Resource Program, you will have the opportunity to directly impact the lives of those in need by providing support, guidance, and access to vital resources. Whether you have language skills, cultural knowledge, or simply a desire to help, there are countless ways to get involved and make a difference.

Our Housing and Family Support Program Services are looking for volunteers to:
- Directly engage with members of the immigrant community in QUEENS on a weekly basis, preferably in person by attending local meetings, churches, school events to share timely, relevant, and trusted information and resources.
- Build linkages, developing networks, identifying gaps in services for immigrants in the community, particularly those who are under-served; and collecting feedback from immigrants and sharing this information with the Immigrant Resource coordinator.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Hours are flexible to your schedule!
(Skills Preferred)
- Basic English-speaking skills are required. (Fluency in other languages is encouraged.
- Queens Residents/Natives highly encouraged to apply
- Experience working with immigrant communities.
- Volunteer coordination or similar activities.
- Community development and training with underserved communities.
- Hybrid opportunity - can work from home or in-person at QCH Forest Hills Community Center
