As a Veteran Companion Volunteer, you'll have the chance to:
- Visit one-on-one with a resident, chatting, playing games, or just being a friendly face
- Join in group activities like movie nights, bingo, or music sessions
- Escort residents on outings to the park, shops, or other local destinations
- Share your own talents and hobbies, whether it's knitting, gardening, or storytelling
No special skills required - just an open heart and a desire to brighten the day of an older veteran. Flexible scheduling means you can volunteer as little as a couple hours per week.
As a Veteran Companion Volunteer, you'll have the chance to:
