Volunteer Opportunity: Be a Walking Companion & Bring Joy

Are you a compassionate and friendly individual who enjoys gentle walks, light outings, and meaningful conversations? We’re looking for a Companion Volunteer to spend time with a vibrant 60-year-old participant who would love company for short walks and visits to nearby places like the waterfront, Target, or local shopping centers.

About the Participant:

• Mobility: Ambulates safely with a walker
• Personality: Alert, oriented, and enjoys conversation (especially when others initiate)
• Interests: Shopping, nature walks, and outings that bring small joys

What We’re Looking For:

• A volunteer who is comfortable and confident accompanying someone using a walker
• Someone who is compassionate and understanding of the changes that come with aging
• A person who can initiate friendly conversation and help make outings enjoyable and safe
