From home in Davie, Davidson, Forstyh, Yadkin- Check in/Tuck In Calls- Hospice Patients

Remote but within reasonable distance from Winston Salem NC area volunteer needed. It is 100% remove but still prefer someone who is able to meet for TB test and for part of the training that requires in person and also to be able to participate in our volunteer appreciation activities.

The position- Volunteer will be given a list of patients/caregivers to call through online website login that is HIPPA complaint. These will be clients with the highest acuity/needs. Volunteer will be asked to call each client or their caregiver to check in and ask questions from the script to ensure they have enough medications to get through the weekend, proper equipment etc. The calls typically need to be made between Wednesday evening after 2 pm and not after 8pm, any time between 8 am and 8 pm on Thursday as long as the list is completed by Friday at 10 am to allow nurses time to get all the needs met prior to weekend. If there is a need found, Volunteer will message need to the volunteer coordinator to be relayed to the nurse. The calls typically last 1-3 minutes each but could be a bit longer if there is an issue the client/caregiver wants to report. This position is a volulnteer from home position but still requires some in person training and proof of NC driver's license and vehicle insurance. A TB test is also still required along with background check.
