After-School Basketball Court Volunteer

Overview

Blueprint 58 is looking for reliable, community-minded volunteers to help create a safe, welcoming after-school space for youth on our neighborhood basketball court. This role is about presence, consistency, and relationship—showing up and being a good neighbor.

Responsibilities

• Be present during scheduled after-school open court hours
• Help supervise students to ensure safety, respect, and positive play
• Engage with youth through conversation, encouragement, and basketball
• Assist with basic court care (picking up trash, organizing equipment)
• Model sportsmanship, patience, and kindness

Ideal Volunteer

• Enjoys working with middle and high school students
• Comfortable being outdoors and on your feet
• Dependable and able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule
• Aligned with Blueprint 58’s mission of cultivating flourishing community
• No basketball expertise required—presence matters most

Time Commitment

• 1–2 afternoons per week during after-school hours
• Flexible scheduling based on availability
