Overview
Blueprint 58 is looking for reliable, community-minded volunteers to help create a safe, welcoming after-school space for youth on our neighborhood basketball court. This role is about presence, consistency, and relationship—showing up and being a good neighbor.
Responsibilities
- Be present during scheduled after-school open court hours
- Help supervise students to ensure safety, respect, and positive play
- Engage with youth through conversation, encouragement, and basketball
- Assist with basic court care (picking up trash, organizing equipment)
- Model sportsmanship, patience, and kindness
Ideal Volunteer
- Enjoys working with middle and high school students
- Comfortable being outdoors and on your feet
- Dependable and able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule
- Aligned with Blueprint 58’s mission of cultivating flourishing community
- No basketball expertise required—presence matters most
Time Commitment
- 1–2 afternoons per week during after-school hours
- Flexible scheduling based on availability
