Activities Assistant (18+)
Main Duties
- Help residents enjoy activities such as music performances, art activities, trivia and games, and happy hours.
- Tasks include moving tables and chairs for different activities, setting up supplies and cleaning up after activities, gathering residents for activities, taking residents back to the nurse’s stations after activities.
- Depending on the activity, help residents by finding the page in songbook, assist using a paintbrush, or help residents mark a Bingo card, etc.
Desired Traits and Qualities
Friendly smile, patience, kindness, compassion, communication, ability to follow directions and ask questions for clarification if necessary.
Shifts are typically 10:00 am to noon or 2:30 to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. We do not have weekend openings and volunteers must have a car as we are not off of a bus line.
