Volunteer at the Columbia City Night Market Every Third Saturday of the Month - Year-Round
Build Community. Create Joy. Power Local Business.
The Columbia City Night Market is powered by people who show up. When you volunteer, you’re not just helping run an event — you’re helping create real revenue for small businesses, artists, and makers in our community.
We’re looking for reliable, community-minded volunteers who enjoy being part of something lively, welcoming, and impactful.
Volunteer Roles Include:
Market Setup (Afternoon)
Help transform an empty lot into a vibrant Night Market — tents, tables, signage, and infrastructure.
Light Setup (Late Afternoon / Early Evening)
String lights, create ambiance, and help us set the vibe before guests arrive.
Beer Tender (Two Evening Shifts)
Serve in our 21+ beer garden area. Must be 21+. Friendly, attentive, and comfortable handling transactions.
Info & Retail Booth (Two Evening Shifts)
Be the welcoming face of the Market. Answer questions, sell merchandise, and support guest engagement.
Traffic Control (Two Evening Shifts)
Support safe pedestrian flow and help maintain a smooth, welcoming environment.
Teardown (Late Evening)
Help us close strong — pack up equipment and restore the space efficiently.

By Light Rail:
Take Link Light Rail to Columbia City Station. Walk east on S Edmunds St for about 5 minutes to Rainier Ave S.
By Bus:
King County Metro routes 7 and 106 stop along Rainier Ave S, just steps from the Market.
By Bike:
Bike racks are available throughout Columbia City. Please lock securely.
By Car:
Street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood. Please observe posted signs and be respectful of residents.
