Seeking Teen Volunteers for Montlake Community Center Summer Activities Camps

Teen Volunteers are needed for our Summer Activity Camps at Montlake Community Center!

Volunteers will act as "junior counselors in training" to support camp instructors and staff. Responsibilities will include:

- Being good internal leaders/first followers

- Supporting camper safety and experience (volunteers may be asked to "be a buddy" to individual campers)

- Playing games / participating in activities with kids (ages 5-12)

- Supporting supervision of camps and lunch clubs with an adult leader

This opportunity is open to volunteers ages 15 to 19.

Camps start on Monday 6/29 and culminate on Friday 8/21, for total of 8 weeks of camp. Camps are broken up into morning and afternoon sessions. Morning schedule* is 8:45am-12:15pm. Afternoon schedule is 11:45am-4:15pm. *We have more camps/shifts available in the morning schedule. There will be a required volunteer training session June 25 and 26. We ask that volunteers commit to volunteering at camp 4 days a week for at least 3.5 hours per day for at least 4 weeks of the summer. This structure will allow you to complete anywhere from 50-180 total hours of service learning hours to put toward school requirements.
