Volunteer High School Academic Tutor
Turn your knowledge into opportunity for Harlem students.
Harlem Commonwealth Council (HCC) is seeking motivated volunteer tutors to support high school students in math, science, Regents preparation, and SAT preparation. Whether you help a student master a difficult equation, prepare for an important exam, or believe more deeply in their own potential, your support can help open doors to graduation, college, and future success.

Saturdays, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

How You Will Make an Impact
- Provide one-on-one or small-group academic support
- Tutor in math and/or science based on your subject strengths
- Help students prepare for Regents exams and/or the SAT
- Teach study strategies, test-taking skills, and effective problem-solving
- Encourage persistence, confidence, and postsecondary goals
Who We Are Looking For
- College students, educators, professionals, graduate students, and qualified community members are encouraged to apply
- Strong knowledge in at least one relevant subject or test-preparation area
- Patient, encouraging, dependable, and able to explain concepts clearly
- Previous tutoring, teaching, or youth-development experience is a plus
