Remote Volunteer Opportunity

Our Safe Space US is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Google Ads professional to help us make the most of our Google Ad Grant.

This position matters because putting your skills and our Google Ad Grant to work can help us reach more people and change more lives.

Our account is established and ready for a knowledgeable specialist to evaluate its current structure, strengthen its campaigns, improve performance, and create a sustainable system for ongoing management.

This is an advanced volunteer role for someone with substantial hands-on Google Ads experience. Previous experience with Google Ad Grants is required.

What You’ll Do

Our Google Ad Grants Specialist will:

• Review our existing account and work with our Google team to understand priorities and goals
• Identify and resolve issues affecting campaign delivery, performance, and policy compliance
• Optimize campaign structure, keywords, targeting, scheduling, bidding, and negative keywords
• Review ad copy, approvals, final URLs, and landing-page relevance
• Evaluate conversion tracking and establish meaningful goals for registrations, subscriptions, volunteer inquiries, and donations
• Recommend practical campaign, website, and landing-page improvements
• Monitor performance and provide brief, understandable reports and recommendations

Desired Experience - Experience managing Google Ad Grants for nonprofit organizations is required.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Substantial experience managing, auditing, troubleshooting, and improving Google Ads campaigns
• Strong knowledge of search intent, keywords, bidding strategies, conversion tracking, GA4, and Google Tag Manager
• Excellent written communication skills and a nuanced understanding of US search behavior, cultural context, and conversational language
• The ability to create natural advertising for a primarily American audience and explain technical information in plain English
• Strong organization, reliable follow-through, and the ability to work independently while communicating clearly with our team

Time Commitment

The initial account review and optimization will likely require a concentrated investment of time.

Once the account is performing reliably, we anticipate a few hours each month for monitoring, reporting, testing, and necessary adjustments.

This is a flexible, remote volunteer opportunity. We’ll provide information about our programs, audiences, goals, and organizational voice while trusting you to bring the Google Ads expertise.

Our Safe Space US is a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Tucson, Arizona.

We provide free educational, personal growth, creative, wellness, and community-building programs both online and in person. Our goal is to help people learn, connect, discover new possibilities, and build stronger communities.

Our programs include workshops, discussion groups, book clubs, creative activities, mindfulness sessions, social gatherings, and volunteer service projects.
