Descripción
Position Purpose:
Provide academic support and encouragement to teens while helping them build skills, confidence, and positive study habits.
Primary Duties:
- Provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring
- Assist with homework, assignments, and study skills
- Support students with reading, writing, math, or other academic subjects
- Help teens develop effective study and organizational skills
- Encourage participation, confidence, and academic progress
- Provide a patient, positive, and supportive learning environment
- Communicate student needs or concerns to staff as appropriate
- Assist with other educational activities as needed
Qualifications:
Patient, dependable, encouraging, and comfortable working with teenagers. Strong communication skills and knowledge of academic subjects are helpful. Prior tutoring or mentoring experience is preferred but not required.
