    Description

    Position Purpose:

    Provide academic support and encouragement to teens while helping them build skills, confidence, and positive study habits.

    Primary Duties:

    • Provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring
    • Assist with homework, assignments, and study skills
    • Support students with reading, writing, math, or other academic subjects
    • Help teens develop effective study and organizational skills
    • Encourage participation, confidence, and academic progress
    • Provide a patient, positive, and supportive learning environment
    • Communicate student needs or concerns to staff as appropriate
    • Assist with other educational activities as needed

    Qualifications:

    Patient, dependable, encouraging, and comfortable working with teenagers. Strong communication skills and knowledge of academic subjects are helpful. Prior tutoring or mentoring experience is preferred but not required.
