Join a passionate group of community leaders, advocates, healthcare professionals, and philanthropic champions working to advance the Arthritis Foundation's mission through the Freedom of Movement Gala, one of Chicagoland's premier fundraising events.

Committee members play a vital role in helping create an inspiring evening that raises critical funds for arthritis research, advocacy, education, and support programs serving adults, children, and families living with arthritis.

Committee Responsibilities:

• Attend planning committee meetings (virtual and in-person) leading up to the event.
• Help identify and secure sponsors, donors, auction items, and table hosts.
• Introduce prospective supporters and community partners to the Arthritis Foundation.
• Assist with event promotion through personal and professional networks.
• Support attendee recruitment and engagement efforts.
• Attend the Freedom of Movement Gala on October 17, 2026, and serve as an ambassador for the mission.
• Help create the look and feel for the event

Ideal Candidates:

• Passionate about improving the lives of individuals living with arthritis.
• Connected to corporate, healthcare, philanthropic, or community networks.
• Enjoy relationship building and opening doors to new opportunities.
• Interested in making a meaningful impact while working alongside a dedicated team of volunteers and staff.

Time Commitment:

Approximately 4-6 hours per month from July through October, including committee meetings, outreach efforts, and event attendance.
