    Descripción

    Mpowered Menopause seeks a skilled and dynamic volunteer facilitator to guide the inaugural meetings of the Mpowered Menopause Advisory Council. The facilitator will help establish a collaborative, productive, and inclusive environment for a multidisciplinary group of clinicians, researchers, public health professionals, and community leaders dedicated to advancing menopause research and improving outcomes for women.

    The facilitator will work closely with Mpowered Menopause leadership to plan and lead meetings, foster meaningful dialogue, ensure adherence to agendas, and support the development of the Council's priorities, governance practices, and recommendations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Facilitate Advisory Council meetings in a professional, impartial, and engaging manner.
    • Collaborate with Mpowered Menopause leadership to develop meeting agendas and objectives.
    • Guide discussions to ensure participation from all Council members.
    • Help the Council establish operating norms, decision-making processes, and annual priorities.
    • Manage meeting flow and time effectively.
    • Encourage constructive dialogue and consensus-building among diverse stakeholders.
    • Summarize key discussion points, recommendations, and action items.
    • Support the creation of a productive and mission-focused environment.
    • Provide recommendations for meeting structure and ongoing Council engagement.

    Qualifications

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • Master's degree preferred in Public Health, Health Administration, Nonprofit Management, Organizational Leadership, Healthcare Management, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Research Administration, or a related field.

    Experience

    Candidates should possess at least one of the following:

    • Three (3) or more years of professional experience facilitating boards, advisory councils, committees, strategic planning sessions, or stakeholder engagement processes.
    • Experience working with healthcare, public health, women's health, research, nonprofit, academic, or community-based organizations.
    • Experience supporting governance activities, strategic planning, consensus-building, or organizational development.
    • Experience working with multidisciplinary groups of senior professionals and subject matter experts.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Familiarity with women's health, menopause, health equity, clinical research, or patient advocacy initiatives.
    • Experience supporting scientific, medical, or healthcare advisory boards.
    • Knowledge of nonprofit governance and board best practices.
    • Strong meeting facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
    • Ability to remain neutral while guiding productive discussions.
    • Experience conducting virtual and hybrid meetings using platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

    Time Commitment

    • Approximately 3–5 hours per quarter during the Council's initial launch period.
    • Attendance at planning sessions and quarterly Advisory Council meetings.
    • Initial commitment of six months, with the opportunity to continue as the Council evolves.

    Selection Process

    Qualified applicants may be invited to participate in a brief virtual interview with representatives of Mpowered Menopause. The selected facilitator will work collaboratively with organizational leadership to prepare for and guide the Council's inaugural meetings.
