At Abandoned Pet Project, we believe every animal has a story that deserves to be told. We are looking for a creative, compassionate Social Media Copywriter to turn those stories into lifelines. Your words will be the bridge between a lonely pet and their new family.

What You’ll Do

• Be the Voice: Write heart-tugging, scroll-stopping captions specifically for Facebook and Instagram.
• Master the Platforms: Tailor your writing for two distinct audiences—crafting punchy, engaging captions for Instagram and longer, heart-driven storytelling for Facebook.
• Collaborate: Partner with our Marketing Director and our visual content creators. They provide the photos and videos; you provide the soul and the "Call to Action."
• Save Lives: Literally. Better copy = more adoptions. More adoptions = the ability to rescue more pets!

Who You Are

• A Social Media Native: You understand the "vibe" of different platforms. You know when to use an emoji and when to let a powerful sentence stand alone.
• An Adaptable Writer: You can switch from a witty, "pun-filled" kitten bio to a serious, urgent appeal for a senior dog without missing a beat.
• Focus-Driven: You love the writing process! You won’t need to worry about graphic design, video editing, or emails—your sole focus is the written word.
• A Self-Starter: You don’t need a leash (pun intended) to stay on top of your tasks.
• Note: You don't need a marketing degree—you just need a laptop, a love for animals, and a way with words.
