📍 Location: Remote

⏰ Time commitment: Approximately 3–5 hours per week

🎬 Workload: Around 2–3 short videos per week, ~ 15-20 seconds per video.

🌍 Organization: Empower and Care Organization Uganda (EACO) Uganda.

About EACO Uganda

Empower and Care Organization Uganda (EACO) is a community-based nonprofit organization working in Mukono District, Uganda.

Our work focuses on improving the lives of vulnerable children, families and communities through areas such as education, clean water and sanitation (WASH), poverty reduction, women’s empowerment, health and community development.

We want to strengthen our digital presence and use video storytelling to show the real people, challenges and progress behind our work.

What You Will Do

As our Volunteer Video Editor, you will receive raw photos and video footage from our projects and communities in Uganda and turn them into engaging short-form content for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok and Facebook.

Your tasks will include:

• Editing approximately 2–3 short videos per week
• Creating engaging Instagram Reels and TikTok-style videos
• Adding subtitles, music, transitions and simple graphics
• Creating strong hooks that capture attention within the first few seconds
• Turning raw footage/videos into emotional and authentic stories
• Following EACO’s visual identity and communication style like the United Nations and United Videos.
• Working together with our communications team to develop new content ideas

The videos may cover topics such as children and education, access to clean water, school conditions, community projects, women’s empowerment and everyday life in Uganda.

Who We Are Looking For

You do not need years of professional experience.

We are mainly looking for someone who is creative, dependable and genuinely interested in using their skills for social impact.

You should:

• Have little or no experience editing videos
• Be comfortable using software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or similar
• Understand the basics of short-form social media content
• Be able to communicate in English
• Meet agreed deadlines
• Have access to your own computer and editing software

Students, junior editors and self-taught creators are very welcome to apply.

A Plus If You

• Understand Instagram Reels or TikTok trends
• Have experience creating subtitles or motion graphics
• Have edited nonprofit, documentary or storytelling content before
• Are interested in humanitarian work, international development or Africa
