Description:
Moceans Center for Independent Living, a 501c3 non-for-profit organization is creating a short, powerful video showing how generations of activists — from suffragettes to civil rights and disability rights leaders — fought for the right to vote.
We’re seeking a creative, sensitive video editor/creator to compile free public domain and royalty-free footage into a 1–3 minute video with closed captions and a voiceover reminding viewers that voting is both a privilege and a right.
If you’re passionate about inclusion, history, or civic engagement — and want to use your video skills for good — we’d love to collaborate!
Responsibilities:
- Edit a 1–3 minute awareness video using free or public domain footage.
- Add captions and short voiceover (script can be provided).
- Collaborate virtually with our small team, taking direction but working independently.
- Be open to feedback, edits, and a collaborative review process.
Requirements / Skills:
- Video editing experience (DaVinci Resolve, Premiere, Final Cut, etc.)
- Clear, responsive communication
- Respectful and nonpartisan approach
- Sensitivity to diverse histories and disability rights issues
- Bonus: experience with captioning or accessibility standards
When & Where:
- 100% Remote
- Flexible schedule (short-term project, but we'd love to build an ongoing relationship)
