Want to make a difference from the comfort of your own home? Join us as a Neighbor Advocate and help families access healthy, affordable food while building meaningful connections in our community. As a Neighbor Advocate, you'll empower neighbors to make informed food choices and play a vital role in increasing food security.

What you'll do:

• Connect with neighbors by phone, building rapport and trust through active listening and empathy.
• Help neighbors create their monthly grocery orders, ensuring they stay within budget.
• Offer helpful cooking tips and recipe ideas.
• Share information about other valuable community resources.
• Coordinate grocery pickups with our Grocery Bringer volunteers.

What you'll need:

• A compassionate heart and a desire to serve others.
• Excellent communication and active listening skills.
• Access to a phone, computer, and reliable internet.
• Basic computer skills for online ordering.
• A commitment to at least one 4-hour shift per week, at a set time, for at least 90 days.

We'll provide a brief training covering everything you need to know, including our mission, policies, and ordering procedures. We welcome volunteers 18 and older. All adult volunteers will complete a background check.
