    Descripción

    Position Summary

    Hearth’s Outreach Program seeks to reach individuals aged 50 or older who are currently living on Boston’s streets, in homeless shelters, or who are at risk of homelessness. Our Outreach and Prevention teams work across Greater Boston to prevent eviction filings, preserve tenancies, and connect older adults with the services needed to remain safely housed.

    Hearth is seeking up to 3 volunteers to assist with the annual Outreach Client Satisfaction Survey in May and June 2026.

    The Hearth Outreach Client Survey represents a groundbreaking initiative to systematically capture and integrate client voices into the design and evaluation of Hearth's outreach and case management services. This comprehensive assessment serves as the organization's formal client satisfaction survey, measuring service quality and client outcomes across all program areas.

    Volunteers can assist in up to 3 unique roles:

    • Survey Recruitment and Preparation
    • Survey Delivery Assistance
    • Survey Data Entry

    Full Volunteer Description

    Hearth is seeking a up to 3 Volunteers to facilitate the preparation, execution, and data entry of the Hearth Outreach Client Survey. The expected commitment is up to 1 week per activity. Volunteers can support 1 or all 3 activities depending on interest and availability (see below).

    Location:

    Survey Recruitment & Data Entry = Remote

    Survey Delivery Assistance = Anna Bissonnette House

    Expected Commitment: up to 1 week per activity (~2-4 hours per day over the span of a week)

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    Survey Recruitment and Preparation

    • Establish contact with existing list of current Hearth Clients via phone to confirm and record client availability and preferred survey delivery method (in-person or delivery).
    • Perform follow-ups as needed

    Survey Delivery Assistance

    • Coordinate day-of survey activities, ensuring that Clients are checked-in and provided a survey)
    • Assist with Client surveys, answering any clarifying questions or offering language assistance as needed.
    • Mark Clients as “participated” in the tracker once the survey is complete.
    • Assist in securing refreshments for Clients
    • Relay any questions to Case Managers as needed

    Survey Data Entry

    • Ensure data is entered appropriately and backed up in Hearth’s system drive
