The Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center celebrates military Veterans on various times of the year, such as Memorial Day, July 4th, Veterans Day, the December holidays, Valentine's Day (National Salute to Veterans Week), and more.
This is your opportunity to serve those who served our country. The hospital is a 135-bed inpatient facility while the Community Living Center (our nursing home located across the street from the hospital) is home to 100 Veteran residents.
Elementary School and Middle School Students
This is a great opportunity for your class to be creative and make "thank you for your service" cards that can be distributed to our veterans.
High School Students
We could really use your help to distribute cards and visit with our hospitalized and long-term care Veterans. Do you play in band? Are you in Student Council? Are you a member of the football team? This is a great way to earn community service hours for graduation.
College Students
This is a great opportunity to get your dorm floor, team, or club involved in the community.
Businesses
Take time out of your busy schedule and your afternoon meeting to engage with our military veterans. You can sponsor "happy hour", or a bingo for our Veterans. What a way to demonstrate your community citizenship to the VA Medical Center!

VISITS MUST BE SCHEDULED IN ADVANCE. WE RECOMMEND CONTACTING CDCE TWO MONTHS IN ADVANCE TO SCHEDULE YOUR VISIT SO WE CAN ARRANGE WITH RECREATION THERAPY AND NURSING.
