Do you have a passion for teaching adults?
PBALC needs volunteers to instruct our adult students in various areas of literacy: English as a second language, citizenship classes, digital literacy classes, grammar, reading and writing, and more. You do not need any special certifications, prior teaching experience, or second language skills. Permian Basin Adult Literacy Center provides training and constant support so that you and your student(s) will have everything you need for success!
Our literacy instructors teach small groups of no more than 12 adults online via Zoom. Instructional content is determined by the type of class being taught, and resources for instruction are provided.
Please note- all volunteer instructors must be 18 or older. Volunteers will be required to fill out a volunteer application, pay a $38.00 criminal background check fee, and complete a volunteer orientation.
