Help Fight Hunger in Your Community
Join Portland Adventist Community Services (PACS) on Thursday evenings as we prepare and distribute food boxes for local families experiencing food insecurity. This hands-on volunteer opportunity is a meaningful way to make an immediate impact in the lives of your neighbors.
We are looking for a team of 8 volunteers each Thursday evening to help pack nutritious food boxes and assist with loading them into vehicles during our food pantry distribution.
What You'll Do:
- Pack food boxes with shelf-stable and fresh food items
- Work alongside other volunteers in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Help load food boxes into clients' vehicles
- Provide a welcoming and caring presence to community members
Who Can Volunteer:
- Individuals looking to serve their community
- Friends who want to volunteer together
- Small groups, families, clubs, faith communities, or coworkers
- No prior experience necessary—we'll provide training and guidance

Physical Requirements:
This role involves standing, bending, lifting, and carrying food boxes. Volunteers should be comfortable lifting up to 25 pounds. Accommodations may be available for those with different abilities.
When:
Every Thursday Evening from 4:30PM - 6:30PM
