Role:

We are seeking a compassionate female volunteer who speaks Spanish to provide companionship to an elderly participant.

About the Participant:

• Hard of hearing and speaks very little
• Enjoys watching TV, listening to music, general conversation (if able), and reading Spanish books
• Would greatly benefit from someone who can simply be present and offer whole-person care through companionship and kindness

Volunteer Responsibilities:

• Spend time with the participant in a calm and supportive manner
• Engage in light conversation and activities such as listening to music or reading together
• Provide emotional support and help reduce feelings of isolation

Ideal Volunteer:

• Female
• Spanish-speaking
• Patient, empathetic, and reliable
