Hackensack Meridian Hospice is now accepting volunteers taking a Gap Year before medical school or students who are looking for a healthcare learning experience. Volunteers gain valuable healthcare experience by providing bedside companionship to patients suffering from a life-limiting illness. We are specifically looking for students who are entering their Junior year who are available during daytime hours.
Visits are typically 1-2 hours once a week based on your availability. References will be provided after completing one year and 50 hours of service. For more information, contact Hospice.Volunteer@HMHN.org.
