Do You Love Books? Help us Sort our Book Donations!

Use your passion for books to help the Book Fair Foundation! We're so grateful to have many thousands of books donated to us by the local community, but we need your help to sort through them all!

We could use a hand in our sorting department, where each book is cleaned, priced and sorted into the category where buyers can find them at our annual Dayton Book Fair and our brick-and-mortar bookstore, Rabbit Hole Books - we have over 70 different categories for our shoppers!

Your assistance will help us raise money to benefit Dayton-area non-profits and make sure that our books find loving homes. The beneficiaries for the 56th Annual Dayton Book Fair in October 2026 are Daybreak, Preservation Dayton and Threads of Miami Valley. This is a great opportunity for the recently retired, folks looking to fulfill community service hours and everyone in between!

We’re open for new volunteers year-round at the below times:

• Tuesdays, 10 am-4 pm
• Wednesdays, 10 am-4 pm
• Thursdays, 10 am-4 pm
