Hospice Companion Volunteer
Our Hospice Companion Volunteers provide meaningful companionship and support to patients through simple, heartfelt activities. Volunteers may sit and visit with a patient, have conversations, read aloud, write letters or help patients record their stories and memories. They may also assist with crafts, puzzles, games, music, or other activities the patient enjoys.
No medical experience is required. The most important qualities are compassion, patience, dependability, and a willingness to listen. Your time and presence can provide comfort, reduce loneliness, and create meaningful moments for patients during their hospice journey.
