Empower volunteers from the start. As a Volunteer Screening Team Lead, you’ll guide and support a team of screeners who help new volunteers find meaningful roles. Your leadership ensures every volunteer feels welcomed, informed, and connected—setting the stage for a fulfilling experience and a stronger Red Cross mission.
Responsibilities:
- Lead with Purpose: Motivate and support a team of volunteer screeners to create a welcoming and effective on-boarding experience.
- Ensure Readiness: Confirm screeners complete all required training and understand both national and regional processes.
- Match with Meaning: Help screeners refer volunteers to roles that align with their skills and passions—so every placement supports the mission.
- Stay Connected: Participate in regular meetings and maintain open communication with the Volunteer Services team and screening volunteers.
- Support Systems: Ensure virtual tools and resources are used effectively to keep the team organized and responsive.

- Team Builder: You’ve led teams before and know how to inspire others—especially volunteers.
- Clear Communicator: You’re confident speaking on the phone and writing messages that are warm, professional, and clear.
- Tech-Ready: You’re comfortable using online platforms and databases (training provided).
