Healthful Stories is a Seattle-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that conducts in-depth interviews with people living with chronic and complex health conditions. We exist to document the real patient journey: the delays, the barriers, and the turning points in a way that will have the greatest impact on those living with similar illnesses. Getting there starts with finding the right people: individuals willing to share their experiences openly and honestly for the benefit of others navigating similar paths.
As our Patient Community Outreach Coordinator, you will build genuine relationships with patient communities, advocacy organizations, and online health networks, opening doors thoughtfully and sustainably.
You bring:
- Experience in community organizing, patient advocacy, health communications, or a related field
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Genuine interest in the patient experience and comfort engaging with health communities online
- Familiarity with chronic illness communities — lived experience is welcome and valued
What you'll gain: Direct relationship-building experience in the patient advocacy ecosystem, the kind of network and skillset that opens doors in pharma patient affairs, health system community health, and nonprofit program management. You'll be connecting people to meaningful work while learning how patient-facing organizations operate from the inside.
