Volunteer Role: Canva Quote Graphics Creator

Do you love Canva, strong quotes, and the oddly satisfying feeling of turning a spreadsheet into something beautiful?

Excellent. We need you.

Our Safe Space US is looking for a creative, detail-oriented volunteer to turn our growing collection of inspirational quotes into branded social media graphics.

We already have the quotes. We already have the branding. What we need is someone who can bring the two together consistently, thoughtfully, and without making every graphic look exactly the same, all while reliably create approximately 10 finished graphics every week.

About Us

Our Safe Space is a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in Tucson in 2024. We provide free workshops, book clubs, creative programs, wellness activities, discussion groups, social events, and community service opportunities.

Our community includes more than 900 members, primarily women and LGBTQ+ community members, along with anyone seeking positive opportunities for personal growth, connection, and self-discovery.

What You’ll Do

• Create approximately 10 completed quote graphics each week
• Work from organized spreadsheets containing approved quotes and author names
• Use our established Canva templates, branding, colors, and fonts
• Add enough variety to keep the graphics engaging without changing the overall brand
• Format both short and long quotes so they remain clear and readable
• Proofread spelling, punctuation, and author attribution
• Organize completed designs in Canva using our naming system
• Create graphics in the social media sizes we use most often
• Let us know when a quote is too long, unclear, incorrectly attributed, or needs review
• Communicate promptly if you cannot meet a weekly deadline

This Is an Ongoing Weekly Role

This is not a one-time project or an occasional creative assignment. We are looking for someone who can make a dependable, ongoing commitment to producing approximately 10 graphics every week.

The work should take approximately two to four hours per week, depending on your Canva experience and workflow.

The schedule is flexible, but the weekly output is not.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You

• Are comfortable and confident using Canva
• Have a good eye for layout, spacing, fonts, and readability
• Enjoy working independently with clear source material
• Are detail-oriented and notice small errors
• Can follow branding guidelines without making every design feel repetitive
• Communicate reliably and ask questions when something is unclear
• Understand that simple and readable usually beats crowded and overdesigned

Experience with social media design is helpful, but a formal design background is not required. We care more about judgment, consistency, and follow-through.

Time Commitment

Approximately two to four hours per week initially, depending on how many graphics you would like to create.

This is a remote and flexible volunteer role. Work can be completed on your own schedule.
