Urgent: Host Families Needed for International Exchange Students (Fall 2026)

Above & Beyond Education is seeking welcoming host families in the community to open their hearts and homes to international exchange students for the upcoming academic year. Hosting an exchange student is a deeply rewarding volunteer experience that brings the world directly to your family and community.

We are currently on a tight timeline to find placements for our remaining students, including two wonderful young women from Spain who are fully vetted, insured, and ready for their American adventure:

• Neus (14, Spain): An energetic and independent student who previously spent four months studying in Ireland. Neus plays competitive basketball as a quick ball-handler, has played the flute for nine years, loves dogs, and dreams of becoming a doctor.
• Blanca (17, Spain): A cheerful, studious incoming 12th-grade senior who is eager to experience American high school life to the fullest. Blanca is highly creative and active; she loves cooking, dancing, skiing, and hopes to join her school's cheerleading squad. She also loves dogs and plans to pursue a career in medicine.

What is required to host?

Host families simply provide a safe, supportive home environment, a designated bed for the student (can share a room with a same-sex sibling close in age), and three daily meals. Families of all shapes and sizes make excellent hosts, including empty nesters, single parents, and families with young children. Above & Beyond Education provides 24/7 local coordinator support throughout the entire exchange period.
