Spice & Story Event Day Volunteers (August 15 to 16 2026)

Spice & Story is presented by Kampong Collective, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing Southeast Asian culture through public programs, cultural celebrations, and creative experiences that foster understanding across generations and communities.

Together with artists, community partners, volunteers, and supporters, we are building a cultural platform that inspires curiosity, strengthens relationships, and creates space for stories that deserve to be shared.

Spice & Story is an intimate, immersive experience within a three-in-one Asian food and culture weekend expected to draw 20,000+ people to the San Mateo County Event Center on August 15-16, 2026.

🌿 We're looking for Event Day Volunteers to help bring Spice & Story to life!

Responsibilities:

• Set up and break down event spaces
• Guide attendees and answer questions at check-in, booths or stages
• Support vendors, performers and speakers as needed
• Help manage crowd flow and line coordination
• Assist with cleanup and general event operations

Experience:

• No prior experience needed, just a positive, can-do attitude
• Comfortable being on your feet and working in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Bonus if you've volunteered at events before
