The Community Outreach Coordinator helps build awareness of StandUp for Kids within the local community and develops relationships with organizations, schools, businesses, churches, and other community groups that can help support youth experiencing homelessness.
This volunteer helps identify and connect with potential community partners, shares information about our mission and services, represents the chapter at community events, and looks for opportunities to increase awareness, referrals, volunteers, and community support.
Strong communication skills and a passion for helping young people are important. Experience in community outreach, networking, or nonprofit work is helpful but not required. Experience managing volunteers also helpful.
