Founding Board Member – Fundraising & Partnerships

About HMA

Horizon Mission Africa (HMA) is a U.S.-based nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable communities in East Africa through school feeding programs, medical outreach, clean water initiatives, and environmental sustainability projects.

Opportunity

HMA is seeking a Founding Board Member with experience or interest in fundraising, donor relations, corporate partnerships, or grant development.

Responsibilities

• Support fundraising strategy and donor engagement.
• Introduce HMA to potential supporters and partners.
• Assist with grant identification and sponsorship opportunities.
• Attend quarterly virtual board meetings.
• Serve as an ambassador for HMA.

Ideal Candidate

• Experience in fundraising, business development, sales, philanthropy, or community engagement.
• Passion for international development and social impact.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Training and orientation will be provided.
