Make A Difference
Make a Difference in the lives of residents residing in long term care facilities throughout San Diego County!
Ombudsman are volunteers who advocate to protect the rights of residents in facilities. They provide much needed support and assistance to help residents and their families navigate the long term care system as well as address their individual concerns.
Ombudsman provide:
- Regular facility visits to monitor & address issues
- Visit with residents to offer support and assistance
- Advocate with residents in the resolution of their complaints
- Education for residents & families on their rights while residing in a facility
- Provide advocacy for continued improvement in resident quality of care & quality of life
- Investigate issues of poor care, neglect or abuse
All skilled nursing facilities, residental care facilities for the elderly/assisted living facilities throughout San Diego County have an assigned Ombudsman to advocate for the rights of their residents.
