Hospice Volunteer

Hospice volunteers play an integral role in helping patients and families during a difficult time. They may go to a nursing home or the patients' home and do such things as reading, conversating, arts and crafts etc. Providing companionship and listening is a big part of the volunteers' role. Patients can be visited during a time that works with your schedule. To become a volunteer, we run a background check, require a 2 step TB test (done in office) and completed documentation. Following that, there will be a short training in our office. Our volunteers say that the experience is very rewarding, and it is nice to feel appreciated and make a difference.
