Volunteer Event Planner – Nonprofit Fundraising Gala

Description:

SheBuilds Futures is seeking a passionate and organized volunteer Event Planner to help coordinate our annual fundraising gala, Boots, Bling & Building Dreams, taking place on September 26, 2026.

This signature event brings together business leaders, architects, developers, and community champions to support our mission of inspiring girls to explore future careers in STEAAM—Science, Technology, Engineering, Architecture, Arts, and Math.

The volunteer Event Planner will help ensure a memorable and impactful experience for our guests while helping raise critical funds that support our programs.

Responsibilities may include:

• Assist with overall event planning and coordination

• Develop a run-of-show and event timeline

• Coordinate vendors (venue, catering, décor, AV, etc.)

• Support sponsorship activations and VIP experiences

• Assist with volunteer coordination

• Provide guidance on event flow and guest experience

Ideal Volunteer Skills:

• Event planning or production experience

• Strong organization and communication skills

• Experience with nonprofit or fundraising events is a plus

• Ability to collaborate with a passionate team
