Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to help strengthen and scale our 501(c)(3) nonprofit’s operations, programs, and internal systems. This role will provide strategic and hands-on leadership to ensure efficient, compliant, and mission-driven organizational management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations, policies, and administrative systems
- Develop and improve internal processes, workflows, and controls
- Support financial management, budgeting, and compliance
- Partner with the Executive Director and Board on strategy and planning
- Manage vendors, volunteers, and operational resources
- Establish performance metrics and reporting practices
- Ensure regulatory, legal, and nonprofit compliance
- Support program execution and organizational growth
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in operations, management, or executive leadership
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of nonprofit operations and governance
- Experience managing budgets, contracts, or compliance processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to the organization’s mission and community impact
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior nonprofit or volunteer leadership experience
- Familiarity with grant-funded or government-supported programs
- Experience scaling small or growing organizations
