URGENT NEED! Help move pre-built framed walls at our Oakland Warehouse
Descripción
Descripción
We need your help to move some pre-built framed walls at our Oakland Warehouse!
These framed walls were built by previous volunteers and will become part of the 19 townhomes we are building at Habitat's Esperanza Place development. It is now time for these walls to officially become part of the houses on site!
The Habitat construction staff and AmeriCorps members need your help to load these walls on to trucks to be transported to the Esperanza Place development in Walnut Creek. In between truck transports, there will be additional tasks to do in the warehouse.
For safety reasons, all volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Volunteers ages 16 and 17 must have a parent or guardian sign our Minor Waiver Form prior to the volunteer day.
Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. We revitalize neighborhoods, build affordable and sustainable housing solutions, and empower families through successful homeownership. Since 1986, we have partnered with volunteers, the community, and qualified families with limited incomes to strengthen communities in Alameda, Contra Costa, and Santa Clara Counties.

¿Cómo llegar?
This volunteer opportunity will be in the warehouse connected to the Oakland ReStore.
Please do not park in the front of the complex. Those spots are allocated for our neighbors.
Volunteers should proceed past the initial parking area, drive down the driveway, and past the ReStore donation drop off. There is a parking lot available on the right-hand side, adjacent to the warehouse.
We recommend carpooling, when possible. Please drive slowly, avoid all forklift ramps, and look for Habitat Workshop signage. Map
