Join us for a volunteer orientation at Northland Therapeutic Riding Center (NTRC) and discover how you can make a difference in the lives of children and adults with disabilities through the power of horses.
Side walkers are essential to our therapeutic riding lessons—they walk alongside riders, providing encouragement and support to help participants build confidence, independence, and joy. No horse experience is required—just a willingness to learn and a heart for helping others.
After orientation, you’ll be ready to join lessons as part of our volunteer team. Volunteers contribute an average of 900 hours each month, making life-changing moments possible for our participants. Come see how you can be part of this incredible community!
✅ How to Apply
You can express interest directly through Idealist, but to officially get started we ask all volunteers to complete our application through Wranglr, our volunteer scheduling system.
Please take a moment to fill out the application here: Wranglr Volunteer Application
Once we receive your Wranglr application, we’ll connect with you about upcoming orientations and next steps.
