LIIC is a Sisters of St. Joseph congregational ministry. It is a pro se clinic whose mission is to assist Long Island immigrants with their asylum cases, with a vision to expand our services to meet the needs of our local community as they arise.
LIIC is a Department of Justice recognized and accredited program, with accredited representatives, a staff attorny and a cadre of volunteer attorneys who provide technical support and assistance to the clinic's staff and volunteers.
There are in-person and virtual roles which may be filled.
Volunteers are provided training prior to being placed on a case.
Below is a link to the volunteer page on the LIIC website, where you can submit a volunteer inquiry form indicating your interest. You can also read about the various roles which are available to volunteers. A member of LIIC personnel will contact you after they receive your information.
