Operations Officer

We are looking for 1-2 Operations Officers who can advance TutorX’s mission of free, online tutoring for students, by students. As an Operations Officer, you will be responsible for managing tutors and general operations at TutorX. The Operations Officer role is a volunteer-only position, meaning you will not be paid. However, you will gain valuable leadership skills and experiences. The written application is due by August 20 at 11:59 PM EDT. Please read through this entire document before applying.

Below are some basic requirements that you must fulfill in order to be considered for this position.

Requirements:

• You must be a current student who is in high school or higher education (14 years or older).
• Fluency in English.
• You must be responsible, organized, adaptable, and ready to learn.
• You must be passionate about TutorX’s mission.
• You should be able to commit to this role for at least 1 year, and you should be available for at least 2-3 hours per week to contribute to TutorX.

Role Details

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Director of Operations and Co-Presidents.
• Conduct interviews with potential tutors.
• Respond to emails.
• Bridge communication between tutors and the executive team.
• Implement creative solutions to problems and improve efficiency of operations.
