Pen Pal Volunteer

Pen Pal Volunteer provide emotional support and companionship through handwritten cards, letters, and notes to hospice patients. These thoughtful messages help brighten a patient's day, reduce feelings of isolation, and remind them they are cared for and remembered.

Pen Pal Volunteers are encouraged to share uplifting messages, seasonal greetings, inspirational quotes, and appropriate artwork such as flowers, landscapes, or cheerful drawings. No special experience is required, just a kind heart, creativity, and a desire to make a difference one letter at a time.

This is a flexible volunteer opportunity that can often be completed from the comfort of your house.
