Do you like to meet new people, and make great connections? Do you want to make a difference in your community? Then being a hospice volunteer may be your new calling! Hospice volunteers take time to meet patients where they are at on their journey. Sometimes for just a few days, or even a few months. Hospice volunteers can provide companionship, emotional support, and caregiver relief. Many of our volunteers offer 1 to 3 hours for their time each month. Heart to Heart Hospice offers many tools to support you on your patient visits. Including books, coloring and painting activities, nail polish kits, battery operated animals, fidget toys and mats, and so much more. Consider spending some quality time with a new friend. Visits are made throughout our territory, based on your location. Example: If you live in Northville, we would try and place you in the Northville, Plymouth or Canton areas.
Cómo aplicar
Applicants will have paperwork, fingerprinting, background check and two TB tests at the cost of the agency to complete before orientation at the Southgate office. Once complete, you will mostly have contact via email or phone with the site. Visits will be completed and paperwork documenting visit to be provided to office staff. Our focus is for you to spend time with the patient and their family.
