Outreach Support Volunteer

As a Volunteer Outreach Specialist, you will be representing the organization at community events and public engagements to promote our services and distribute resources, flyers, etc. Responsibilities include preparing materials for upcoming events, assisting with data collection and reporting, supporting planning of workshops, trainings, taking pictures & videos, and fostering positive relationships. Outreach Specialists are expected to have strong communication skills, an outgoing personality, maintain a professional and approachable demeanor, and ensure that all interactions reflect the organization’s mission and values.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT VOLUNTEER

We are looking for a motivated individual to engage with the public during community events hosted by Olive Support Services. As a Community Engagement Volunteer, you will play a vital role in building and strengthening our relationships with our community. You will assist in executing community events, workshops, and activities to bring people together and educate residents on our organization's programs. This role is perfect for those who are passionate about community-building, social change, and making a difference in the lives of others.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Maintain a friendly and professional relationship with staff and the public.
• Help create a sense of belonging and unity within the community.
• Dress and behave in a manner consistent with positive role modeling and scrupulousness.
• Welcome and register attendees, distribute event materials, and answer their questions.
• Oversee and manage specific event activities, such as games, workshops, or entertainment.
• Assist in setting up event venues, including arranging tables, chairs, decorations, and signage.
• Assist in the cleanup of the event area once the event concludes
