Exhibit Hall Docent

Dinosaur Ridge is a popular destination for visitors from around the world! Help greet, orient and educate dinosaur enthusiasts of all ages at our Main Visitor Center and exhibit hall and also at our 2nd location at the Martin G. Lockley Discovery Center (new exhibit opening end of May 2025!). Docents help welcome, orient, and tally visitors and share their knowledge about the exhibit and Dinosaur Ridge.

4-hour shifts are available every day of the week and weekends. Volunteer one or more shifts a week on a regular schedule or as you are available. Training is provided with experienced docents to learn about the role, outdoor fossil sites and exhibits.

Volunteers must complete a background check, review and sign our Volunteer Handbook and complete an online DEI training to serve in these roles.
