Proofreader for positive change

As The Lovepost's proofreader you'll ensure that all content published on the platform is clear, consistent and grammatically correct. One of your first tasks upon on-boarding will be to update our existing style guide.

Responsibilities

- Proofreading all content that is published on the platform. This includes correcting spelling mistakes and grammatical errors and copy-editing content to ensure it meets the publication's style.

- Liaising regularly with writers and editors.

- Resolving queries directly with writers, e.g. style and text inconsistencies.

- Proofreading all marketing collateral.

Ideal Candidate

- Has a minimum of one year of experience as a proofreader or in the final years of a degree in English, journalism, or a related field.

- Has a thorough knowledge of the English language.

- Has a methodical working style.

- Has great attention to detail.

- Has the ability to work to tight deadlines.

- Is self-motivated.
