Handmade Blankets/Quilts Guidelines

Thank you so much for your consideration of donating handmade blankets or quilts to Penn Medicine Hospice. These items are distributed to patients throughout the region who enter our services. We greatly appreciate your support for those at the end of life.

Materials

We ask that all materials used in the creation of blankets be synthetic in nature to avoid potential allergies. Please no wool.

Dimensions

All dimensions are approximations of what is most suitable for our patients.

Lap-ghans: 36-42 inches, square

Shawls: 18-24 inches by 60inches.

Color Schemes

All color schemes are welcome! However, we regularly try to provide Veterans a Red, White, and Blue blanket when they come on hospice service.
