Cooking with the Stars

This is a great event! Local celebrities become Teppan chefs at Mr. An's restaurant. We sell out to corporate sponsors and they enjoy and evening of food, fun and bidding on auction items. This is a fast paced, loud, chaotic event in nature, and alcohol is involved. We need people ready to get in to the crowd and help us with all the auction stuff. We need volunteers who can be present and careful with all the fragile items while also being quick and organized. There are a few steps in the restaurant, so we need everyone to be careful. There will be some down time when there is nothing for you to do but sit for a moment and relax as the guests eat their dinner. Then the crazy begins.

This is our annual semi-formal auction event so we ask that volunteers please wear tennis shoes or something comfortable for fast moving. We will supply you with an Easterseals Blake Foundation orange volunteer t-shirt so you can easily be spotted in the crowd if someone needs your help. Please wear long pants, khakis or something comfortable, but no denim.

4 shifts available:

• This is the first morning shift. Helping unload the vans and setting up the restaurant.: Thursday October 01, 2026 - 08:00 to 12:00 MST
• This is the set-up shift. Help set up the tables, check in booths, the auction, setting up signage, and making sure everything is ready for check in.: Thursday October 01, 2026 - 12:00 to 16:00 MST
• Getting ready for check in. Guests arrive at 5:30pm and you will be checking them in and assisting with the auction. Walking around as a bid spotter.: Thursday October 01, 2026 - 16:00 to 20:00 MST
• Walking around to spot bidders during the live auction. Sorting auction items to set them up for the winners. Helping check out. Clean up, load up: Thursday October 01, 2026 - 18:30 to 22:30 MST
